Maggie is a Licensed Massage Therapist in New York and Virginia, a 200-hour Certified Yoga Instructor and a Certified New York City Special Education Teacher.
Regular massage allows individuals to be more aware of their bodies, supporting them in being able to identify when things don’t feel right as well as what makes them feel better. As a lifelong educator of both children and adults, Maggie approaches being a Massage Therapist as an opportunity to teach her clients to be in more control of caring for their bodies. She informs her clients about the musculoskeletal as well as other systems of the body and provides them with tools such as stretches, exercises, and yoga postures and breathing techniques to do on their own between massage sessions.
Maggie graduated from The Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy in 2006 and has since worked alongside physical therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists and personal trainers, allowing her to expand her knowledge of the human body and treatment options. She has experience working with a variety of athletes, pre- and post- natal woman, individuals with frequent migraines, TMJ Syndrome, fibromyalgia, hip and knee replacements and cancer.
Using a combination of myofascial release, trigger point therapy, shiatsu, and cupping, Maggie has established herself as an exceptional therapist renowned for her comprehensive and customized treatment.
